We are pleased to invite you to the final conference of the RIGHTSCITIES project, “Bringing Fundamental Rights Home”, which will take place on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, in Gdańsk. The event is co-hosted by the cities of Gdańsk and Sopot.

The conference will be held at the City Culture Institute (Targ Rakowy 11, Gdańsk).

The event will focus on the role of cities in promoting and implementing fundamental rights at the local level. Participants will explore both the opportunities and the challenges faced by local governments in building communities grounded in shared values, equality, and respect for human rights.

The objectives of the conference are:

to present practical tools developed within the RIGHTSCITIES project, as well as other solutions that support cities in effectively implementing and promoting fundamental rights;
to discuss how these tools and research findings can be sustainably applied by other cities and stakeholders across Poland and Europe.

The conference will provide a platform for exchanging experiences, fostering cross-sector dialogue, and strengthening cooperation in support of fundamental rights within local communities.

Z przyjemnością zapraszamy do udziału w konferencji finałowej projektu RIGHTSCITIES pt. „Bringing Fundamental Rights Home”, która odbędzie się we wtorek, 17 marca 2026 roku w Gdańsku i jest współorganizowana przez miasta Gdańsk i Sopot.

Wydarzenie będzie miało miejsce w Instytucie Kultury Miejskiej (Targ Rakowy 11, Gdańsk). Konferencja będzie poświęcona roli miast w promowaniu i wdrażaniu praw podstawowych na poziomie lokalnym. Uczestnicy wspólnie przyjrzą się zarówno szansom, jak i wyzwaniom, jakie stoją przed samorządami w budowaniu społeczności opartych na wartościach, równości i poszanowaniu praw człowieka.

Celem wydarzenia jest:

zaprezentowanie praktycznych narzędzi wypracowanych w ramach projektu RIGHTSCITIES oraz innych rozwiązań wspierających miasta w skutecznym wdrażaniu i upowszechnianiu praw podstawowych,
omówienie możliwości trwałego wykorzystania opracowanych narzędzi i wyników badań przez inne miasta oraz interesariuszy w Polsce i w Europie.

Konferencja stanowi przestrzeń do wymiany doświadczeń, dialogu międzysektorowego oraz budowania współpracy na rzecz wzmacniania praw podstawowych w społecznościach lokalnych.
